Our Story

The Penn Aerospace Club (PAC) is a student-lead organization at the University of Pennsylvania, founded in 2014 to build a vibrant aerospace community on campus. We engage our members through engineering projects, student-led seminars, industry events, and more.
Our projects range from rocketry, to space balloons, to custom fixed-wing drones. Our members’ talks cover both detailed technical papers and general introductions to the industry, to excite more of Penn’s campus about aerospace.
We are the go-to organization for both students and industry recruiters who want to work with the best aerospace talent Penn has to offer.

PAC Seminar Series

Aerospace Industry 101 was the first installment of PAC's Seminar Series. PAC Projects Director, Adam Zachar, provided an introduction to the Aerospace industry.

Space Balloon

We had our first launch of the semester on October 25. We launched from Carlisle, PA, and it landed near Princeton, PA on the same day. The launch went extremely well and our landing prediction was spot on. We were not able to recover on the same day, due to the distance needed to travel and the encroaching darkness, but we recovered the payload two weeks later on November 6th. These stunning pictures were the primary purpose of the launch.
